The Local HB

Hi Huntington Beach.  I’ve been very lax putting out notices haven’t I?   For this first blast of the year, I’m concentrating on some great opportunities to give back and help out by participating in local fundraisers… emphasizing the fun part.    First, you can do something real easy to help out with our local American Cancer Society Relay for Life (which is to be held August 12-13 this year).  Next Tuesday the 21st eat or take out at the El Pollo Loco on 19171 Brookhurst Street anytime during their business hours and they will donate 25% of all sales to the Relay!!!   Wear purple or mention (or do both) that you are there for the Relay.   They are going to have a team in our Relay for the first time, and it would be great to show them some support.  If you can’t make it to El Pollo Loco that day, how about having a drink at Sharkeez on Friday the 24th?  From 6:30 – 8:30 you can buy one drink and get the 2nd for .25cents.  They are also donating back to the Relay.   This one needs an rsvp which you can do so at kassidymhansen@gmail.com.   Next up, end of March, Sunday the 26, 4pm-7pm is the Huntington Beach Host Lions Club annual All You Can Eat Crabfest.  This event sells out every year and is held at Old World Festival Hall.  Presale tickets can be purchase at  https://tinyurl.com/jzogv83.   Prices go up first of March and the deadline for ticket sales is March 12, so don’t delay. Another biggie is the Taste of Huntington Beach.  April 30, noon to 4pm.  This is held, as every year, at the Sports Complex (by Central Library).  This all-inclusive, all you eat and drink event is always a not to miss event and tickets are on presale pricing until the end of the month.  Go to www.TasteHB.com for more info and to purchase tickets.
