Registration will begin at 11:30 AM at the Bella Terra Amphitheater with final judging starting at 1:00 PM. On Sunday you can take the kids over to the Equestrian Center for their Halloween parade & costume contest: No horse necessary! Collect candy, win prizes and share in some delicious food at the potluck in the Red Horse Barn from 2pm to 5pm. Be sure to bring your favorite dish for the potluck! 714-848-6565 or www.hcpec.com for more info. When you are done there, head on down to Main Street downtown for the annual Trick or Treat on Main: A fun evening for children and families with trick or treating booths, a moon bounce, petting zoo, Ferris wheel, pumpkin carving, costume contests and more. Also, feel free to dress up your dog and bring them along, as this event is pet friendly! Activities will run from 5pm to 8pm. You will also find shopping centers around town offer trick or treating for the youngsters, just keep your eyes open while driving around town, you are sure to spot the signs.

If you want to get in some adult action, on this Friday night it is not too late to get in on the fun at the Annual Halloween BOO ! thrown by yours truly. It is held in Long Beach, but a lot of HB folks are coming over for it. (hopefully one of my HB locals will have an idea for a location in HB or closer to home for next year!). it is 250+ people. 21+ please, and of course everyone will be in costume. Live band & DJ, food, tarot cards, etc. If your name is on the list at the door, it will still be $20 (otherwise $25 at door). If you'd like to come, email me your name. If you'd like to pay in advance, the link for that plus the address of the event can be found at: www.TheLocalCoast.com . See some of you there.

This weekend is also your last chance to get in some Oktoberfest fun at Old World. Enjoy their Oompah band, beer drinking contests, shot girls, chicken dance, great beer, food & more. Even the Dachshund races on Sunday. For more info: www.oldworld.ws . Don't forget to check the calendar on TheLocalHB to see what other types of events are going on this weekend.
